Case Study — Sales & Outreach Tooling

Finding the right person to email automatically, not one profile at a time

Before an outreach email gets sent, someone has to find the business, find a named contact, and confirm their email is real. This is the pattern behind doing that at more than a handful a day.

The problem

Cold outreach lives or dies on targeting, not volume — but finding businesses that actually match a target profile, then finding a named contact rather than a generic inbox, then confirming their email is real, is three separate research tasks most people do by hand, one browser tab at a time.

What was built

A search-driven discovery layer — with proxy rotation to stay reliable at volume — to surface businesses matching a target profile, paired with contact-discovery and email-verification steps that confirm a guessed or scraped address is real before it's ever sent to, rather than finding out from a bounce.

Targeted searchdiscovery match a real target profile Proxy-rotatedcollection stays reliable at volume Contactdiscovery a named person, not info@ Verified send-readylist confirmed before, not after

Why this is the hard part

The easy version of this sends a lot of email to addresses that bounce, get flagged as spam, or belong to nobody relevant — which damages deliverability for every email after it, not just the bad ones. Doing it properly means verifying before sending, not after, and treating deliverability as part of the targeting problem rather than a separate concern once things go wrong.

Where this generalizes: this is close to the same discovery-and-verification pattern behind how this site's own outreach is sourced — it applies directly to any business doing targeted, high-relevance cold outreach instead of a mass blast.

Got something like this running by hand?

Sourcing and qualifying leads is a research task before it's ever a sending task — automating the research is usually where the real time gets returned.
